As for how the game played... dude, it was great. They had a mouse and keyboard and controller set up .. you know I went for the controller and it just was Torchlight from the start. The aesthetic is an updated version of what they had nailed in the past games.. it sounded good.. aside from some development hiccups and T poses.. animations still have that fluid, exaggerated, cartoon feel.
They had 2 classes on display a caster who specialized in dark and light magic and a robot.. both quirky. It's through and through, Torchlight. If I can speculate a bit here.. I think the decision years ago to almost be the opposite of what Diablo was.. right, what did I say earlier... bright colours and whimsy. Torchlight is one of those games that allowed it's art and artists to influence and creep into the design of the game.. it allows the game to be a bit goofy - to not take itself too seriously - and let fun be the guiding principal.. https://stefanukmusic.com/sega-dreamcast-gaming-historian/ I mean.. look at the trailer and look at this ability that looks like it comes from an engineer.. he places a mounted gun on like a minecart.. and he is able to keep laying down tracks for the cart to direct it towards new enemies.. I mean, come on. Even if it doesn't make sense that you can bring your trusty alpacca into combat with you or seeing enemies animations that knock themselves down when they fire their blow dart.. cannon, it just leaves you with a smirk after the last 5 aRPGs you played have that more serious tone and instead have monsters that would literally vomit out other monsters in a zone modelled after literal hell. Torchlight: Frontiers is like.. eyebleach for the genre.. and was an unexpected highlight of the event for me. And already planned for PS4 and Xbox on top of PC.. I'm stoked. If they somehow could weasel a Switch release.. I'd die. I think monetization will be really interesting to watch unfold.. because in regards to cosmetics or pets or dyes or base and housing stuff.. these cartoony, heavily stylized games are prime for it - FashionLight.. is gonna happen. In Path of Exile there already exists a formula that has proven successful.. although not uniformly loved - PoE has something Torchlight won't have.. which is that weird grass roots, started from the bottom now we're here, I pay to support them, I'm part of this type thing. So where Torchlight: Frontiers goes with this.. or has to go.. or chooses to go.. could be really interesting. I think shared spaces is a logical next step for this type of game and I remember similar sounding things in Marvel Heroes that worked well - before that was nuked.. and there is definitely still room in the genre to secure a player base.. and real talk I just am happy to see color. I just want and need more information.. and I hope as it's released that the benefits from removing the offline mode and mod that many gamers loved the franchise for.. are worth it. Until next time, this is Fevir. Peace.

So we we called them again, the guy with the animal testimony welcome to the animals there. In New Zealand - and we did a really clear, clear one - not through an iPhone or something like that so anyways - I will come up with that next week, so I'm really proud of those guys and Roger for what what he did. I did a good job. Imagine every month or one or two times a month, we've have a different place in the world: a seminars going on by someone we trained and their training some others, that's how you grow eventually, then we don't have to go anywhere Oncasinogames Canada .
We just keep doing the G2Voice. Keep writing keep doing newsletter. Getting the research out there and other people are training people. I love, it might not happen for another five or ten years, but be a great thing. Next year we're gon na try to do every two months. A Spanish seminar in Latin America - maybe one in Spain - I think they speak Spanish. They wrote Valley, Oak asta, Yahoo, that's the jungle, they don't understand me anyways, but I take John and Joe with me and wherever they are looking at me, weird speaking, Spanish. Those guys fill in it looks like a Spanish tag team. Now, let's get into the important stuff the written testimonies they're coming in every week, there's a guy named James McDaniel, hey I used Clara's protocol. That'S six drops activated every two hours like three or four times during the day she used to call it 666. I didn't like that his even think Antichrist, so I call it seven. Seven: seven two five five five, but it's a strong dose every hour to to get rid of things coming on. If you feel something didn't congested, a coffin and lungs, a little diet, you had it yet it and then maybe you'll start to do the next day too. Now, that's probably the strongest she ever gon na do except malaria. That'S a good one for a tropical diseases, but malaria can take fifteen eighteen drops every two hours three times and it's gone 100 % of the time. If I've had my labor three times, you've had it, but you don't remember. You were a kid in Africa, but I had any want to die. You want to die. You had one phone explode, so anyways. He did that I'm getting off on it's another story and did claudio silver nebulizer a few days before going in from more detailed nuclear pet skin pet CD CT skin. That'S not good when, especially when they check the dye in you Joe, and they do this stuff. Those things aren't good of my lung tumor in the upper left area and to larger tumors in the lower left area. Long story short, the upper lung tumor disappeared. I'M now hoping to eliminate the other two before my next CT scan in a couple months, I'll make it to one of your workshops. One of these days will be better at communicating the benefits of a mask great stuff. The PET CT scan was designed to identify cancer in stages, but my tumors wouldn't light up with the radioactive glucose that was ejected in my arm. Indicating my tumors aren't cancer good. You have a lipomas and you're getting rid of a mic going back. So don't go back and do that stupid test. It'S not him. I just give him my opinion. I don't really care if I like it and I just try to help you, but it's up to them, but why would you put radioactive dye? What is the dye made out of aluminum pure aluminum glucose know the dye? It'S sugar, that's what's pulls it into the cancer, the glucose, but what's the dye that goes with the sugar? That would be something look up. What is a picture? It'S aluminum there's almost all colors and dyes and food colorings come from aluminum. It says: aluminum Lake, red red dye, number bronze. I just studied up cosmetics and stuff, and it's horrible in that stuff and medicines and just thrown that. What is the radioactive glucose color? What is the color, what gives it the color Joe here's another one Lynne: Reed love your videos and broadcasts, I'm a huge supporter of you and I bought your products and they are delivered fast and accurately. Ok, constructive feedback make several 15 minute videos. I love them. All just label them different from the 15 segments. You'Ll get more Falls and spawns love. You both keep doing what you're doing called to do. I told you no, I understand what she's talking about protocols go to G2 Church YouTube and we have probably 10 protocols there from the starting procedure to bat not to the password into the back yet, but all the ones you need to go in the steps to Follow spray bottle protocol 1000, 1000 plus, I think the douche is there. I think protocol 4000 they're all the ones for diseases, how to start there and they're less than 15 minutes. But if you're gon na, let us talk and show everything we're showing. I can't do it in 15 minutes, I won't. We have to relax and we have to walk through this. Like a like. We call it the fireside chat in the Caribbean. You don't even need a fire. It'S up up on the mountains, so Greatland god bless you Heather. I know personally 100 % that this stuff works. It'S a testimony. She didn't tell me exactly what she used it, but here's another MMS saved lives saves lives good. I agree with that and we put that on our newsletters hi mock. I started with CD s. My wife had incontinence and very expensive med for urinary specialists for over three months didn't work. I was a guinea pig on this stuff because my wife refused to use it. The MMS I told her. If I die taking it, then it's no good short story is. I did the same thing for my kids. All of them had MRSA eight of them. My name is Mark Grenon and I'm here with my co-host -Joseph Grenon Joe you're looking different. Today we got a new mic setup.
You got headset about spring connect anymore. We'Ve got it going with these streamline things. I really like this this because my voice is shot because of vaccine injury. Here'S a good vaccine, injury. 1976. I got the swine flu vaccine and paralyzed my vocal cord two weeks later and you guess it killed of about 25 people guillain-barre paralyzation syndrome, whatever you want to call it a name of all kinds of syndromes conditions and stuff, so you can create a medicine for It and when it's just one gay you're, either a DS or dis, ease your body. There'S no in-between! You got this to know your body's in state of eddie's, homeostasis balance or it's a state of disease, and I think in my book I think you can see what happens and why, where we're really pushing to get this to people around the world, Portuguese translated Spanish Is almost done taking us a while because we're trying to do all the all the videos, all the newsletters and everything the website, so we want to do it right when we really stop pushing the Spanish. This is Jim's book I don't know, is Jim's in Spanish head. I don't think so. This is Jim's book. This is the MMS Bible. 98 % of everything in this book will probably 99 will agree with, because We all put it together, maybe there's some peaches. I missed or something, but this is what everything you want to know about: MMS we've done with this book. What I've done with this book is. This is everything you want to know about why you have disease and how to use in them MMS to get rid of it. All the videos testimonies, you walk through it. The protocols, everything so it's a complete. Both of them are really good. I'M not because I wrote it because I compiled it. I always say that to people we compile all this information personally, over a period of 40 years, my life, but and with Jim and MMS ten years we compiled the results we compiled have been doing and now the protocols, the ways of taking in and everything right. We have video course online. We get over 3300 members, I think it is now just updated it and G2Voice and We were forced to start a G2Voice because of people like all places like Wikipedia scope. Was it scope, Snopes Snopes people think you go there to find the truth, Jack the opposite and what they put up a bottom. The mask people go to Wikipedia I'm not thinking because look at what Kapiti says. Let me tell you, I hired someone to put the stuff there correct about chlorine dioxide, correct about MMS, all the studies, EPA, FDA uses and everything right. They take it within an hour pay. I paid him for a week Paul and he put it. I wouldn't say every hour, I'd say five or six times a day. He put it back, and so we started something called wiki MMS wiki, there's a dot is an autonomous wiki. I check it out, were you so? How will you go there and to tell you everything we tried to put on Wikipedia.is MMSwiki.is, just the contact so and then we have CNN BBC a b c, CB c, NB c -- all the season ends and he saw the alphabet: major mainstream media soup and Fake news, they follow us around trying to get interviews and i rebuttal them and We never gave any of them really an interview. We just told them what We thought and they just went off and said what they wanted to say. Anyways so, and we started the G2Voice and it's been - this is 98 joe. Two more weeks will be. The hundred and 104 is two years so coming up on two years. Every week was spending and - and like this kind of bugs me, but it just shows you the attention span of the average adult in the world today. I only want to watch something for 10 to 15 minutes. You'Ll sit there and watch a stupid movie for three hours. You watch the matrix and there's a lot of truth about that spiritual truth anyway, but i don't have time for people that have a attention span of a two-year-old. In fact, i think Emily your two-year-old has more of attention span than most people, she'll sit there and listen and watch them, but so we go on. We tell you what we're doing every week for new people. We tell you where we're at in the world. What we're doing and then we show you testimonies, which is our scientific proof. What is science, observation and repeatability? What'S a clinical study, you have standardized protocols, you give to a group and our group is volunteer not paid, and it's all over the world in every culture, and you record the results of taking a standard protocol over a period of time - and you know the average Clinical study is done. It'S like 100 to 300 people, that's the app. If that is what two weeks a week, even if it's a month, whatever that doesn't matter, it's some small amount of people. We'Ve got with Jim first ten years with Jim, at least so about 20 years. No, that's funny would be 98 no 18 years of practice with MMS around the wordl. The first 8 Jim Africa wrote a book. Then we picked it up with him in 2006. So 12 years with us and then Jim came along in 2010 and then We started the church of compiling and and everything together. So we have a clinical study better than any clinical study on earth about chlorine dioxide and the protocols that were using now. So I just laugh at people when they say I want proof, look at what we're doing. We'Ve covered these almost every broadcast. We have. How can you have 5 to 10 testimonies every week? I have next week's newsletter 12 on there next week already compiling, and this week We probably have maybe 10 I'll see in a minute or something like that. Every week. That means that the majority 10 % of the people get touching it. So that means 90 %. More, we should have a hundred ninety to a hundred every week. That'S representing I'm not gon na, say millions, Jim says millions, and I bet you millions of tried MMS one time or another, but I'd say hundreds of thousands making it part of their life and using it on a regular basis. I think that's conservative. I don't think anybody could get upset with us. I always try to blow ball it right because you don't want to be bragging or it's a million, or so I mean I think, that many of taking it for sure Millions, because just about Jim's sales in his book people that would come to us every now. Now they're blocking on newsletters by the way I mentioned that in a moment, but that's why we started all this and we're asking everybody to listen, pay attention and when I sent out the newsletters you get them we're gon na show you where to get it another One we're putting out a duplicate because we're getting blocked and if this week was 55 pages Joe last week, is like 80. So this is a thorough study, I'm doing giving you places to go. If you want to go, look at research and watch all the videos and links did We give you do it, it's amazing, I'm doing it all, and I just suck it in. I got ta put this and put this. I might not be all covered on the broadcast, but at least I'll have it in the newsletter, and now losers are going through Portuguese and Spanish, because it's a really research type of newsletters. In the beginning, We tell you what we're doing we're to get in touch with us everything and but because we have to people need to learn this. So that's why we here that's what we're doing and this week we're covering on 98th G2 sacrament the protocols for dummies but critical thinking, dummies, I'm in the gum in that box. They call us dummies Joe. We listen to stupid people that don't have the grease and not backed by the FDA. We'Re dummies were idiots. I'M talking to you, people today, you're one of us, and We talked to a group in New Zealand last week about forty people there and talk to him for two hours having a seminar. One of our bishops put it on great next week. We'Re gon na cover an hour. We took an hour with one guy dealing with animals and boy. You need to get in with we're getting a lot of stuff done with animals, and this guy's trying to save 150 thousand cattle. They want a butcher and I'm necessarily so that'll be next week's the next week we're gon na get into last week. We talked about crimes against humanity. It'S our last series, three pod, three. We talked about geoengineering, and I didn't mention this last week because I was watching some stuff later on. After the broadcast a Mount Rainier, a beautiful mountain outside of Seattle, I used to live there, I'm right near Mount Rainier, it's a glacier, crystal-clear water. Everything right this beautiful stuff when I was there in the in the 70s now they tested the snow 61 parts per billion of aluminum in the snow. Now these two still people mentioned the fact they go well aluminum's. Sixty percent of the Earth's crust is made of no, it isn't you'll, never find aluminum by itself. It can't exist, it doesn't exist and they're putting pure aluminum in the sky, and it's falling in the snow. You'Ll find aluminum oxide potassium aluminum sulfate. You find all these. These mixtures and has to lock into something it does not exist by itself and anywhere in nature, so they're pretty reducing it splitting it, making it pure and dumping it Joe. That'S what the geoengineering is go back and watch that there's a lot of factors you can't it. This is why these people are being taken to court Joe. That'S why they won't take us to court we're a church, but if I did walk into a courtroom first, I wouldn't walk through that that little swinging gate. That'S when you put yourself under there under there. Or come with me, come have a seat. LAURA: Okay, all right, I'm here. LIAM: What's the matter? Yeah, it's her again.
We're going to find her. It's fine. You're huffing and hawing since we found her body. It's fine. What's going on? TALIESIN: I was really hoping she was going to go away. That's all. I was really hoping that she was just going to go away. LIAM: Well she's going to go away, Percival. If not now, later. TALIESIN: Every second she's alive is untold damage to the world. Do you know how every now and then I say something awful? LAURA: Mm-hmm. TALIESIN: I love you both very much for that. When I think of that terrible person inside of me I see her face. She has a very active imagination. She knows how to make these machines, and her imagination terrifies me. If you knew that that was me, would you let me live? Has she made ten more of these things, has she made 100? Does she hand them out to people? Maybe, I don't know, maybe she's running around and torturing people's parents and siblings to death and then handing them a gun and kicking them out into the world to see what will happen because it could be funny. LIAM: You're probably right, Percival. She probably is. This is not Lord and Lady Briarwood over again, though. TALIESIN: No, it's not. LIAM: And you're not alone. TALIESIN: No, I'm not. LIAM: You have me, you have her. You have her. You have the other two Laurel and Hardy motherfuckers who aren't back yet. TALIESIN: I was so hoping that maybe-- MARISHA: I slam some mead in front of him. TALIESIN: Thank you. I was hoping something heavy had fallen on her from a great height, saving the world a few thousand lives. LAURA: Well, we're going to be above her. Maybe we can be the one to drop something heavy. TALIESIN: That's really what I'm hoping. MARISHA: Oh, I've been practicing that actually. I can be really heavy. TALIESIN: That may help. MARISHA: Yeah. TALIESIN: She is the biggest mistake I've made, and I'm horrified by who's paid the price. LIAM: All the more reason for you to be the same cold-hearted asshole you've been for the last year. Why change now? Get the job done, Percival. TALIESIN: I'm counting to a hundred. I'll be fine. MARISHA: It's not very often we see you shaky, Percy. TALIESIN: Once we're out of here, I'll feel fine. Once that thing is off my machine I will feel fine. And I'm thinking of something else. I'm thinking of building something awful to help deal with her. MARISHA: Hang on. Wait. Hang on. I was about to ask if you ever have regrets of building something awful and releasing it into this world, and now you just said you're going to double down, essentially? TALIESIN: I've been thinking long and hard about it. I think inevitably, anytime I think of something it might be too late. I think I'm going to be very careful about what I build. I'm going to be very careful about where it goes, and I'm also going to ask anybody, if-- when I die, destroy everything. Please. This is why I don't write down notes. Any of my sketches, they're put away, and they're put in a place where I can remove them once the job is done. But I sketch my idle thoughts, and right now I'm having an idle thought for her and it's simple, it's nothing complicated, it's just vicious. LIAM: Well all right, we can do that. We can destroy anything you make, but for now, Percy. Keep your head, man. TALIESIN: One night of sleep, I'll be there. MARISHA: What exactly are you thinking of making? Just because we could destroy your notes, I mean, you're still alive and your guns still got into the world. LAURA: Regardless of what he makes, who wields it? Fenthras is a horrible weapon wielded by a horrible being before I had it. A gun can do the same thing. MARISHA: You're arguably one of the greatest minds in existence right now, Percival. TALIESIN: That's a terrible thought. MARISHA: But you are. And Vex isn't wrong. TALIESIN: I know. There are things that one day I will speak of that I'm not really ready to deal with yet. But I think I may even have something that could help us with the dragons. I have a thought. I'm going to work on it on our way to the island. LIAM: Now I'm nervous. TALIESIN: It will be something that once the dragons are felled I plan on destroying immediately after. And I think you'll be all right with it when you see it, it's too complicated for any one person to really deal with. But I will feel much better if she is in the ground. LAURA: Well I'm interested in seeing it. MARISHA: Percy. You know you can talk to us, right? You never share ideas with us. TALIESIN: I do. I told you my idea of killing all the dragonborn to start a war between the dragons. MARISHA: All right, well. TALIESIN: That's why I don't share those ideas, I'm not proud of them. LAURA: Is this thing you're building going to kill a lot of people in addition to the dragon? TALIESIN: I hope not, but it could. It could make it very easy to kill a lot of people. LIAM: One day at a time, gang. Let's deal with Ripley first. TALIESIN: Let's deal with Ripley. Let's collect a few more things that will help us deal with home. Let's save home. And then I will spend some good time undoing some of the damage that I've done. I should have killed her. I should have. MARISHA: You shouldn't feel regret about not taking another person's life. It's a moment of humanity. MATT: This is brilliant. OK, so can I have some of your famous brown paper?
OK, excellent. Now let's look at why this trick works. Now you're going to have to bear with me here. I'm going to set up a slightly unusual way to look at the cards. Because when you get the 27 cards, the very last step-- if we go from the end of the trick-- I pick them up into three piles of nine cards. From now on I'm going to call the top one the 0th pile, and then the first pile, and the second pile. And there's a reason for that in a moment, but just bear with me while I set up some notation https://oncasinogames.com/keno/. So when the cards go back together there are nine cards in the top pile one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. So that was why I called the 0th pile on top. Then there was one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine in the first pile. And the bottom one-- one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, that was the second pile. And as it turns out your one was the king of hearts. That ended up being the 10th card down. Because you said at the very beginning your favorite number is 10, and your king of hearts ended up there. And so now when you think about it these top three from the final pile-- because this is the very last top, middle, and bottom pile-- that top one came from the previous top pile. That was the previous 0th pile, that was the previous middle pile, that was the previous bottom pile. That was the previous top, middle, bottom. Top, middle, bottom. And so actually if you watch it you can see how that happens. Because I've picked them up from the second time. I've got the top, the middle, and the bottom packets. Each are nine cards, I've put them together. I deal out the next three piles, and the first three come from that top pack of nine. And then the next three come from that top pack of nine, and then the next three from the same top pack of nine. So that's why over here the top three come from the previous top 0th pile. The next three of each one come from the middle pile. So that's the first three off the middle, next three off the middle, next three off the middle. And I've got nine left, that was the previous bottom pile. That's why now I get three from the bottom, three from the bottom, three from the bottom. So they end up going down like that. And if you get some cards and you start playing around with this, within the final ordering it turns out from the very, very first time you put them together this is the top, the middle, the bottom. The top, the middle, the bottom. The top, the middle, the bottom. And don't lose too much sleep over exactly why this happens. If you get a pack of cards and deal it, you'll start to see why. And what you end up here is this is the ordering from the first time we dealt the cards out. That's the ordering from the second time we dealt the cards out, and that's the ordering from the third time we dealt the cards out. And to get it here at 10th, I can see that to get this position here it's the 0th 0 first. Or top, top, middle. And so each time Brady pointed to where his card was the first time I put that pile back on top, the second time I put that pile back on top, The third time I put that pile in the middle. The first time I put that pile back on top. The second time I put that pile back on top. The third time I put that pile in the middle. In fact, Brady, do you want to pick a different number? BRADY: So say I told you my favorite number was 13, what would you have done? MATT: OK so 13, I need to put 12 cards on top of that, and 12 is one 9, one 3, and no units. So I'm going to put that on the top, the middle, the middle. 13 is, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13. Yeah see? 0, top, middle, middle. But the way I work it out is I'm actually working it out in base-3. Because this whole trick uses base-3 ternary numbers, which I think are absolutely amazing. And the first time you put the piles back together you're doing the units column of your base-3 number. The next time you put them back together you doing 3's column, and then the last time you're doing the 9's column. And so when you give me your number I work out that number in base-3, and then that tells me how to put the piles back together. When an individual graduates from High School, he or she will soon face the challenge of college entrance exams in order to get into the university of his/her choice. While most graduates will get good grades in college placement tests, they will soon be dismayed to learn that the college they selected will not accept them.
This is because college administrators will not just only look at the scores of the placement tests. They also need to take a closer look at how the student performed in High School. If the student had inconsistent grades, most likely, they will not accept them. College rejection can be a very heavy pall on the minds of students. Because they have been rejected, they would soon start thinking themselves as failures. Some would even be burdened by the disappointment of their parents, who have wanted them to get into that school. Sadly, because the rejection ultimately becomes a mental burden, it will soon wreak its impact on a student’s study habits in another school. Here are some tips to help you deal with college rejection. If you have been rejected by the college of your choice, do not think of it as the end of the world. Go to the college administrator and ask directly why your application was rejected. If you have low scores in your college placement exam, think about retaking the test and re-applying again to the same college. Do not allow your mind to dwell on negative thoughts, especially if you are forced to study in a university that you don’t like. Just because the college you got stuck in is not at par with the university that is your first choice, it does not mean that you won’t get quality education. In fact, if you really want to learn, it doesn’t matter which college you go to. Instead of sulking on what could’ve been, explore your new school. Discover the many study resources that are available to you. If you feel that a professor is not teaching you enough or is not clear in his/her lectures, make it a point to study outside of class by reading reference books in the library. Who knows? If you get good grades in your current college, you might be able to apply for a transfer to your choice university. College service always can help you in any college. Never allow your self-confidence to be bogged down by the college rejection. Instead, work on making great achievements in your current school. Also, make friends with people whose study goals are similar to yours. These friends will help boost you up when you are feeling down and enable you to recover your self-esteem. Has this ever happened to you? At the end of the day your spouse or your boss asked you, “what did you do today?” and you had no answer. Of course it has. It’s happened to all of us!
It wasn’t that way when you started the day. You set out to do something good or important. In your efforts to search for a job or complete an important business project you threw yourself into it heart and soul. You were busy all day long and yet, at the end of the day (or week, or month) you wondered if you really accomplished anything important. How did that happen? You were busy, but not productive. One of the problems many of us face is that we don’t have a system for defining, achieving and measuring our effectiveness. We haven’t set specific goals for our business, project, or job search. Because we have not set specific goals, we don’t know when we have been successful at achieving your goals. . . or even if we HAVE achieved them. A professor of mine in business school famously said, “if you can measure it, you can improve it.” I wasn’t sure what he meant at the time, but as I have spent more time pursuing both life and business objectives I have begun to understand. Setting specific goals allows us to measure our effectiveness at our work. Having a system to measure the outcome of our activities allows us to improve on what we have done in the past or achieve want to get done in the future. Here are some tips that will help you develop a system for defining, achieving and measuring goals. Make time to set goals. It is said that every hour spent on planning saves 5-6 hours in execution. The simplest way to get something done is to set a goal to accomplish it. For your business you want to set chronological goals (annual, monthly, weekly and daily goals) as well as project goals. The same is true of your job search – and here’s an important hint: applying to jobs on the Internet is NOT a goal you should set for more than 30 minutes per day! Schedule time for planning and goal setting. I recommend you block out a couple of days each year for strategic planning and setting annual goals; a half day each month to set monthly goals and a few minutes each week to set weekly goals. Be sure to make your goals specific and achievable. Define clear objectives. Objectives are the steps required to accomplish a goal. They formulate your action plan for accomplishing your goals. Your objectives should be measurable so you know when you have accomplished them. They should be realistic and time bound as well. Keep track of your progress. What metrics or benchmarks will you use to mark your progress. Set the tracking mechanism up before you start, that way you will be able to prioritize and focus on the parts of the project or goal that are the most important. If you need to let something fall between the cracks, make sure it’s not the most important thing. Setting metrics and tracking your progress will help you keep the first things first. Make mid-course corrections as needed. Things seldom go exactly as planned. Life happens. Things break or need to be replaced. People get sick. Money runs out before the project is complete. The successful person is able to step back and make course corrections if necessary to accomplish their goals. In order to be effective at this you must focus on the ultimate goal or objective – not the action itself. Remember, it’s easy to forget your objective is to drain the swamp when you are up to your eyeballs in alligators! A mentor of mine used to say, “plan your work, then work your plan.” He was a wise man! If we follow that advice we will have fewer days (weeks, months, years. . . ) where we get to the end of the project and say, “gee what HAVE I accomplished?” You have identified a career opportunity you would like to pursue, presented a professional resume and have received an invitation to attend an interview. Thoughts generally progress to (a) preparing yourself with background information about the organization you have applied to, (b) developing questions you may wish to ask during the interview and (c) deciding what to wear.
Today we will take a somewhat different approach to the issue of what to wear. Many career advice articles have addressed presentation in an interview. Eye contact, the firm handshake and of course, appropriate clothing are frequently mentioned topics. The alternate perspective presented here relates to what aura ought you to wear? Aura? You might ask how aura can be relevant? First of all, let us clarify the concept of aura for the purpose of our discussion. According to the Oxford Dictionary, an aura is a feeling or particular quality that is very noticeable and seems to surround a person or place. Your aura may have a great deal more to do with the success or your interview or otherwise than you realize! Experienced human resource management professionals are attuned to the aura of the candidates and are looking for behavioral and personality cues that a resume, psychometric test, or references may not readily reveal. Human resource professionals are looking at the subtext. Armed with this information what should you do? The first and most useful approach may be to become self-aware. What does your aura convey? From conducting thousands of interviews, my observation is that true moods, self concept and attitudes may be conveyed which are not evident in the discussion taking place. In Jamaica, you may hear the term “vibes” used. Certain unspoken messages about who you are may improve or limit your chances of securing the position you are looking for. Knowing what the employer is looking for is a useful place to start. When you have chosen your interview attire, try to be certain that you are also wearing your best aura including:
